- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Toppings:
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Optional: red pepper flakes additional parsley for garnish
Prepare the Garlic Bread:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Slice the French bread loaf in half lengthwise and place it on a baking sheet, cut sides up.
In a bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.
Spread this garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the bread is lightly toasted.
Cook the Chicken:
While the bread is toasting, season the chicken with olive oil, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked.
Once done, remove from heat, let it rest for a few minutes, then dice into bite-sized pieces.
Prepare the Alfredo Sauce:
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
Add heavy cream, stirring continuously.
Mix in grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Continue to stir until the sauce thickens, approximately 5 minutes.
Assemble the Dish:
Remove the toasted garlic bread from the oven.
Spread a layer of Alfredo sauce over each half.
Distribute the diced chicken evenly over the sauce.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the chicken.
For added heat, sprinkle red pepper flakes if desired.
Serve:
Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
Garnish with additional parsley if desired.
Slice into pieces and serve warm.
